DINING IN THE D: PARKS & REC EDITION

Hey y’all hey, I’ve been getting some request to do more “Dining in the D” segments (actually y’all been on my head about blogging in general…. sorry!) so I am back with another one. By this point, y’all should already know that Breakfast is my thing. If you’ve got good breakfast, I’m in that thang…. especially if you’ve got a banging Mimosa! Well this restaurant that I visited was actually my second time going. The first time, I enjoyed everything (minus the person with the dog in the restaurant), however this time, I was unimpressed. Let’s get into it!

DINING IN THE D: RUSTED CROW EDITION

Hey y’all hey, so first off I want to start by asking, are y’all trying these restaurants that I’ve been posting?!! If so, give me some feedback and let me know what you thought about the places!! I try to keep it all things Detroit so if you’re in the city, check out a few places that I’ve mentioned. You can also give me some ideas of some new places to try!

So let’s get into this next spot that I visited. This time I decided to take my Rollie’s and we didn’t have a place in mind, it was simply whatever we rode by. Technically, all the restaurants are Downtown so that’s where we headed. As we rode around taking in the new scenery, we came across this place called Rusted Crow. I remembered someone mentioning it to me before and one of my girls had been so, this is where we stopped. Let me just say that EVERY SINGLE WORKER that we encountered was Super Nice. Like, we got smiles when we walked in the door (it could have been our Loud perfume 😌 SORRY!), when we were seated, it was just a good nice feeling of good customer service.

Side note: It’s sad that I’m so used to mediocre customer service here in the city, we’ve gotta do better!

DINING IN THE D: HONEST JOHN’S EDITION

Hey y’all hey, I know it’s been a minute but I am back with another “Dining in the D” for you. This time, I decided to hit up a popular bar (because let’s be honest, bar food is the best) with a couple of friends to see what the hype was. It was actually recommended a few times that I checked this place out so without further ado, I give you Honest John’s! Let me tell you about the experience!

DINING IN THE D: DOWNTOWN LOUIE’S LOUNGE EDITION

And another one *Biggie voice*! Hey y’all I got a new place for you all to try out in the city. Before I start though, have you all been checking out some of the places that I have posted? DINING IN THE D: THE APPARATUS ROOM EDITION

Oh, hey new dining options in the D! I am always happy to find out about new places located in the city to eat at….. even though I’ll probably stick to what I know as far as menu wise, I like new scenery. The coolest thing about this place is that it was located inside of the old firehouse Downtown and they kept a few of the pieces to still make it feel authentic. I also didn’t know that it was a hotel located inside of the firehouse, but I heard it was fairly new. Well, lets get into it….. the place that I visited this time was called The Apparatus Room. This place is trendy, the decor was cute and the staff was super friendly.

DINING IN THE D: GRANITE CITY BREWERY EDITION

Y’all ready for another good food place?! Let’s get into it then! If you are a beer lover, this place is definitely something that you must try. Happen to be in the Downtown area and looking to try something new?! Try Granite City Brewery, guarantee you will find something that you like on the menu.

 

DINING IN THE D: “THE DIME STORE EDITION”

Anybody that knows me knows that Breakfast is my thing. Like that is literally the most important meal of the day and that is my cooking specialty (I’ve got mediocre cooking but that’s another story). I feel like my day just isn’t complete without some type of breakfast…. especially if its a good, big, Breakfast. Give me some Bacon, Eggs, and some sort of bread and I am all set. Pork on my fork please, don’t give me no fake bacon….. or shaky bacon….. or light skin bacon…. I need that crunch! All this Breakfast talk leads me into this edition of “Dining in the D”, you definitely want to check this place out!

Dining in the D: “Royale with Cheese Edition”

I gotta admit, I have been pretty thirsty to try this restaurant since I’ve heard about it. I think that I was more so interested in seeing the painting of John Travolta and Samuel Jackson on the wall inside of the restaurant (it’s theme is from the movie Pulp Fiction). If you are a burger person, you definitely want to try this one!

Dining In The D: “Calexico Edition”

Heeey y’all! You ready for some good eats around the city? Well lets kick it off with Calexico located in Downtown Detroit, in the Campus Martius area. Its a cool area, with a very dope ambiance.
