Well well well…… I know it’s been a nice minute since I’ve given you a Blog (we’ll catch up in the next post) but the Met Gala happened last night and I couldn’t let the day go by without sharing some of my fave looks from the night. Now I’m sure if you have Social Media then you’ve seen all the looks from last night and you probably have a fave picked out too! Without further ado, let’s get into it.
So first off, the theme for this year’s Met Gala was “Camp: Notes on Fashion” meaning things gonna get wild…. as always. Every year we tune in to see who is gonna show out and who is going to be a whomp whomp. This year the Pink Carpet was graced with some Met Gala vets, but I was here for the new faces that brought it!
My highlight had to be Ciara and Big Freedia making history by twerking on the Pink Carpet before the show. I also appreciated Lady Gaga‘s multiple outfit changes on the Carpet. Zendaya did a Cinderella theme that was pretty cute too! I was really looking forward to seeing Rihanna but honey said all y’all getting is this Fenty Beauty work right now. Lots of people were waiting to see Nicki Minaj but I honestly wasn’t impressed. That was my mood for a lot of the people that we were waiting to see though. Some of the people were simply predictable with their attire.
There were hits, misses, lots of shimmer and shine and I was here for it all. Of course it’s always nice when people make a Date Night at Met Gala. I like to see the couples show out and see who’s really gonna bring it! Did you have a fave couple look?! Mine had to be Dwayne Wade and Gab Union. Who was your “Yaaaaas” look of the night?! Mine was Cardi B. hands down, she won…. shut it down!
